Point guard Darius Garland (20.7 ppg) suffered a fractured jaw after a collision with Kristaps Porziņģis during Thursday’s game against the Celtics, and power forward Evan Mobley (16 ppg) will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his knee.

Garland, who is also averaging 5.9 assists per game, could be out for a month or more. Mobley, the Cavs’ leading rebounder (10.5 per game), is expected to be out for six to eight weeks, the team said. The 22-year-old had already missed four of Cleveland’s last 10 games for “left knee soreness,” with the Cavs going 1-3 in his absence.

Mobley is one of three players averaging 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 55 percent shooting this season, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Through Friday, Cleveland sits ninth in the Eastern Conference, with a 13-12 record. The Cavaliers won 51 games last season and lost to the New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs.
