Remember ‘Ridin’ With Biden’? Recent news seems to indicate Democrat candidates are ‘hidin’ from Biden’ as his poll numbers continue to reach new lows.

The Associated Press is reporting that Pennsylvania candidates Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, running for Senate, and state Attorney General Josh Shapiro, running for governor, have encountered “scheduling conflicts” and will miss President Biden’s visit to Pittsburgh today where he will discuss infrastructure.

Both issued statements indicating politics had nothing to do with the snub though, as the AP writes, it “could fuel further questions among anxious Democratic candidates elsewhere as they decide whether to embrace the struggling president.”

The news comes just weeks after Stacey Abrams, whose main focus has been ‘voting rights’ in Georgia as she runs for governor in that state, missed Biden’s voting rights speech due to a scheduling conflict.

Democrat Candidates Distance Themselves From Biden

A subsequent report by Axios indicates President Biden has become so toxic with Democrat candidates running for election that they are even social distancing from him on social media.

“Democrats in swing states and vulnerable districts in this year’s pivotal midterms are distancing themselves from President Biden on social media as his poll numbers hit their lowest point,” Axios writes.

Swing-state Senate candidates such as Abby Finkenauer (IA), Val Demings (FL), and Cheri Beasley (NC) have all, according to their analysis, avoided even sending out tweets about Biden of late.

This is an incredible snub of both Biden and Harris, who will be in the capital city of Stacey Abrams’ own state to talk about her signature issue.

Somehow she can’t find the time to be there.

Gives you an idea of how politically toxic Joe Biden really is. https://t.co/qACSTGTGdH

Demings, who is running a fairly competitive race against Republican Senator Marco Rubio, side-stepped an opportunity to embrace the President’s help with her campaign during an interview with a local reporter.

“Do you want to see President Biden come down and campaign with you?” the reporter asked.

“I’ve got to run my race,” she replied adding, “I’ve been in this race now 7 months. I am running my race.”

🚨 Val Demings won’t say if she wants Joe Biden to campaign with her.

Even Beto O’Rourke, the perennial loser of every election he signs up for and is currently running for governor of Texas, doesn’t want help from the President.

“Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke on Friday said that he would have no interest in getting campaign assistance from President Joe Biden,” the Dallas Morning News revealed.

Imagine that. They finally get Sleepy Joe to emerge from his basement and become Joltin’ Joe, and nobody wants him near them.

Biden Poll Numbers Hit New Lows

What each of these reports has in common is that the Democrat candidates seem to be keeping President Biden at arm’s length as his poll numbers continue to plumb new depths.

The Daily Mail notes that Pennsylvania Democrats trying to avoid his visit is quite a shift from the days when President Biden was able to play up his “Scranton Joe” blue-collar roots.

And they point to two polls – one from Monmouth University and another from Harvard CAPS/Harris – which revealed that only 39 percent of voters approved of Biden’s performance in office, “crashing from figures of 54 and 61 percent respectively after he was sworn in.”

“Analysts say his (Biden’s) tone deaf approach to rising prices during the past year has undermined his appeal to blue-collar voters,” they add.

Another poll with Biden in the 30s. And just spitballing here, but replacing one liberal SCOTUS with another isn’t going to move the needle even a little. If a conservative on the bench was being replaced (see: Barrett for RBG in reverse), different story.https://t.co/7fuX7wBu2o

Axios also reveals five other Democrat candidates in “front-line districts” haven’t mentioned Biden on their social media accounts since the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Just 28% of Americans say they want Biden to run for reelection in 2024, including only 48% of Democrats.
