On Monday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made remarks about HBO host Bill Maher criticizing COVID-19 pandemic protocol, essentially agreeing with the host.

Palin made her comments during an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

Palin: I don’t know who decided that this was going to be one that was going to be politicized and weaponized. Science? A virus? A virus that has just turned into something that is just something to control umm the people. pic.twitter.com/MUCWwauQLU

Palin: ‘This is madness though, this COVID overreach, overregulation, overreaction, it’s a shame that it’s become a red and blue issue’

Palin recently contracted COVID-19, but told Watters that she believed the virus was being used as a way to “control the people.”

“Well, [Maher] as an individual a little too little, too late because he’s done a lot of damage to the truth and the cause of justice,” Palin said.

Palin then welcomed Maher aboard.

“He really has,” the former governor continued. “But yes, like you said, you know, welcome to the team. I say welcome to the team, too. I guess we’ll take him because he does have a voice.”

Plain went on, “This is madness though, this COVID overreach, overregulation, overreaction, it’s a shame that it’s become a red and blue issue.”

Palin: ‘A virus that has just turned into something that is just something to control the people — well, that’s exactly what it’s become, and it’s a shame’

Palin expressed concerns that COVID-19 had become politicized and “weaponized.”

“I don’t know who decided that this was going to be one that was going to be politicized and weaponized, science, a virus?” Palin continued.

Palin also wondered if the national narrative regarding COVID-19 was anything more than a new way to “control the people.”

“A virus that has just turned into something that is just something to control the people — well, that’s exactly what it’s become, and it’s a shame,” Plain said.

She then praised Maher.

“And I think that somebody like Bill Maher finally gets it,” Palin said. “That’s indicative of a lot more people coming on board.”
