The second season of Tim Allen’s television series “The Santa Clauses” premiered earlier this month, and it defied the largely secular world of Hollywood to proudly proclaim the birth of Jesus Christ.

‘The Santa Clauses’ Proclaims Birth Of Jesus

Faithwire reported that in episode two of the new season of “The Santa Clauses,” which can be viewed on Disney+, one of the elves in the North Pole is given the task of debriefing Santa Claus on how Christmas started.

“What we know as Santa, all began with Saint Nicholas honoring the birth of Jesus,” the elf says.

Allen, who has long been known as one of the only people in Hollywood to express conservative views, had said last year that his goal with “The Santa Clauses” was to put the “Christ” back in “Christmas” and to not forget the reason for the season.

“It originally had a lot of otherworldly characters, and ghosts, and goblins,” Allen, now 70, told The Wrap of the series in November of last year. “I said, ‘No, this is Christ-mas. It’s Christ-mas. It literally is a religious holiday. We don’t have to blow trumpets, but I do want you to acknowledge it; that’s what this is about.’”

“If you want to get into Santa Claus, you’re gonna have to go back to history, and it’s all about religion,” he continued.

Allen went on to say that the show’s writers had found “a brilliant way” to incorporate religion into the plot.

“It’s really wonderful. They took a chance, and we did it really well,” he added.

Aside from making sure Christianity was incorporated into “The Santa Clauses,” Allen took a backseat when it came to planning out much of the rest of the show.

“It’s a strange thing, on ‘Last Man Standing’ I was also EP and I knew where I wanted to go with that. And Jack Burditt was also the writer of that, that he is with us. And it’s not easy for him or for me,” Allen explained. “I write, I’ve written movies and I’m really the plot guy. So that’s kind of where I’m at with this. And I get very confused with too much detail.”

“I need to know where we’re going at the end of this beat,” he continued. “And it took quite a bit of massaging from both the Disney folks and Jack to get chapter one — which I call [this] a six-chapter book — I needed that to launch this thing. Respect the last one and let’s not be too gamey with it.”

Allen Finds God

Allen has long been open about his Christian faith, though he’s admitted to struggling with it in the past. He was only 11 years-old when his father was killed by a drunk driver, leading him to question the idea of God for years.

“For years, I just did not like this idea of God, church,” he previously said, according to ABC News. “(I was) still a churchgoer, but constantly a cynic.”

These days, however, Allen is no cynic, as he refers to God as “The Builder.”

“I always do ask…The Builder, what did you want me to do?” Allen said. “And I do ask it. But you got to be prepared for the answer.”

God bless Allen for going above and beyond to make sure “The Santa Clauses” highlights the birth of Jesus. As we head into the holidays this year, it’s crucial to never forget the reason for the season!
