The former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has announced that he is launching his very own video streaming subscription service, which will cost $72 a year.

Carlson Announces Subscription Service

“We’ve been out of work for seven or eight months now. Hard to know, time flies when you’re unemployed,” Carlson said in a video that he released on Saturday.

“But actually, we’ve been working in secret and producing an awful lot of material for months now — interviews, et cetera — and all of it has now found its way to tuckercarlson.com,” he continued. “We’re launching a brand new thing very soon.”

The annual subscription promises “founding members” access to “hours of exclusive members-only content hosted by Tucker Carlson,” a “bonus FREE month added to your subscription” and the ability to purchase “limited edition merchandise,” according to The Messenger.

Forbes reported that Carlson’s subscription service “offers three shows with new episodes each week, including ‘The Tucker Carlson Encounter,’ which will be accessible without a subscription, ‘Tucker Carlson Uncensored’ and ‘Ask Tucker,’ a segment in which Tucker will respond to questions posed by subscribers.”

“Other shows include ‘Tucker Carlson Shorts’ with new episodes every two weeks and ‘The Tucker Carlson Interview,’ which features interviews by Carlson released each month, while other programming includes behind-the-scenes content from Carlson’s interviews and his speaking tour, the ‘Sworn Enemy Tour,’” Forbes continued.

Carlson’s Fox News Firing

This comes after Carlson was shockingly fired by Fox News back in April despite being the network’s most popular host.

Carlson later claimed that his firing was part of Fox News’ $787 million settlement of the defamation case brought by Dominion Voting Systems, according to The Guardian.

Carlson and former White House advisor Neil Patel were reportedly “seeking to raise funds” for a new media company back in July. It was reported at the time that Carlson and Patel had already “lined up financiers, lawyers and media strategists” for this venture.

Carlson And Trump

This also comes after it was reported by Axios that the former First Lady Melania Trump wants her husband Donald Trump to make Carlson his running mate going into next year’s presidential election. Melania reportedly believes that Carlson would be a “powerful onstage extension” of her husband as his running mate.

However, Trump’s staffers reportedly fear that Carlson would “outshine” the former president and that the talk show host “can’t be controlled.”

Other candidates that Trump is allegedly considering include Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and Reps. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).

An aide with the Trump campaign spoke out to deny that the former president is looking past the GOP primaries.

“The Axios story is pure fiction,” the aide said. “Unless there is a formal announcement from President Trump or his campaign team, then it’s just speculation and not coming from us. President Trump is solely focused on winning the Republican nomination and then defeating Crooked Joe Biden in the general election.”
