Mission Creep: Biden Admin, Media Now Openly Admit U.S. Troops Are On the Ground in Ukraine

Must read

It’s incredible how this administration will lie to our faces. Still, they will eventually just come clean because they know no one will hold them accountable.

This week, it was announced that the Biden administration is contemplating sending more troops to Ukraine to help track the flow of U.S. weapons into the embattled country.

Did you catch that they are thinking about sending more troops? That’s right, there have been American military personnel in Ukraine for a while now, even though the President promised us that we wouldn’t send U.S. troops to Ukraine.

They told the lie, mainstream media spread the lie, and now they are coping to the truth. But, unfortunately, mainstream media is burying the lede because they assume you are too dumb to notice. How they get away with treating all of us like simple-minded rubes is by playing fancy footwork with their words.

American troops in Ukraine you know just hanging out making sure weapons to get sold illegally in eatern europe. Totally not going to get shot at or bombed because that would be an instigationg for world war 3. General Ryder talked about it in a press conference.

The Tap Dance

Pentagon Press Secretary Brigadier General Patrick Ryder really shined this week with his ability to thread the needle on how even though we have troops in Ukraine and we said we wouldn’t send troops in Ukraine, we shouldn’t be mad at the administration because they can explain it away.

He began setting the scene:

“The U.S. remains steadfast in its support of Ukraine and its ability to defend against Russia’s unprovoked aggression, and the U.S. presence at Embassy Kyiv reflects that enduring commitment.”

General Ryder delicately moves the needle through his explanation:

“As soon as security conditions permitted in late May, DOD reopened its Defense Attache (DAO) and Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) at the Embassy in Kyiv to perform mission critical functions.”

So now that he has slipped the news that we’ve had military in Kiev since May, he moves into why we shouldn’t be concerned:

“DOD coordinates its personnel levels in connection with the State Department and interagency, as part of the overall Embassy footprint.”

Well, since the troops aren’t getting their orders from the DOD, I guess everything is fine, right? Wrong.

Ryder goes on:

“We will continue to review our presence in-country as security conditions evolve.”

And there is where he leaves the door open for them to add more troops as they see fit because, after all, they know best.

Weapons lost in 🇺🇦#Ukraine. Again and Again

“We had two trucks with 84 M4s, 12 SCAR-Heavies… a couple of Javelins, and some M240-Bravo’s, and an absolute truck full of ammo – [which] just went missing in the convoy,” complained British mercenary Joseph McDonald pic.twitter.com/1upobC2N9D

More Troops

This brings us to where we are today, with the Biden administration contemplating sending more troops to Ukraine. The reason for the apparent need to increase the boots-on-ground footprint is twofold, if you pay attention.

The first is the original reason for sending the additional troops back in November: to help inspect and ensure that our weapons are going to the Ukrainians and being used appropriately.

When this was first announced last month, our Pentagon verbal version of Fred Astaire told reporters:

“We’ve been very clear there are no combat forces in Ukraine, no US forces conducting combat operations in Ukraine. These are personnel that are assigned to conduct security cooperation and assistance as part of the Defense Attache office.”

And this is what we call in the business of war ‘mission creep’.

It starts as no troops; then it evolves into troops in surrounding areas to help train the nation in question, then it becomes easier to go ahead and move those troops in to observe and inspect. Vietnam should ring some bells here.

Take a wild guess as to what comes next. The second reason is tied directly to a new weapons system we plan to send.

US taxpayers pay $1.5 billion to Ukraine every month to prop up the Ukrainian government while approx $6.4 billion a day is added to our $31 trillion dollar debt.

US total debt is $93.6 trillion, which includes interest & other obligations.

No one cares about US taxpayers.

Patriots

This week it was announced that the Pentagon and the White House are weighing the plans to send Patriot missiles to Ukraine. Back in March, Defense One published the following:

“Pentagon officials will not send the advanced Patriot air-defense system to Ukraine, saying Thursday that U.S. forces would need to enter Ukraine to operate it.”

Here we are at the end of the year, and the song has changed. But it’s easier to send the system now to Ukraine.

I mean, back in March, we didn’t have American troops on the ground; now we’ve had them there since May with the Marines guarding our Embassy and troops there to “inspect” since November. So hold on to your butts guys; it’s about to creep forward further.

What I want to know is all I hear is how the Ukrainians are doing a fantastic job pushing back the Russian forces and how President Vladimir Putin’s days are numbered because he’s sick and the oligarchs want him out. So why does Ukraine need our Patriot air-defense system if that’s all true?

You won’t see anyone else asking that question because that would make you a Russian propagandist.

Tell Me Lies, Tell Me Sweet Little Lies

Back in February, when Russia first invaded Ukraine, President Biden told reporters over and over again:

“Our forces are not and will not be engaged in a conflict with Russia in Ukraine.”

While we haven’t been engaged in direct combat in Ukraine, you play into Biden’s belief that you are gullible if you believe we haven’t been involved in a conflict with Russia via proxy.

And now that we do indeed have troops in Ukraine, Uncle Joe has slick-tongued General Ryder to help explain it all away:

“Though the ODC (Office of Defense Cooperation) is embedded within the U.S. Embassy, it is staffed exclusively by DOD personnel. For operational security and force protection reasons, we won’t discuss specific numbers of personnel.”

Again, don’t worry; it’s not like our troops are doing any military stuff; they’re basically just Embassy people wearing military uniforms, nothing to see here. But no, we can’t tell you how many because, well, we don’t want to.

Unfortunately, I imagine it’ll only be a matter of time before Congress will act surprised when we have our first service member killed in Ukraine. I can see it now, literally any one of them from the right or left feigning shock that we had military in Ukraine conducting military operations.

And so the world continues to turn, and the cycle continues to feed itself.
