Mitch McConnell to Join Biden In Event Celebrating ‘Infrastructure’ Spending Bill

Must read

President Joe Biden is traveling to Kentucky Wednesday to promote a $1.2 trillion infrastructure spending bill passed by lawmakers in 2021. Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell will join him to tout the measure.

It is a rare joint appearance designed to promote how the economy is “benefitting” from bipartisan efforts by lawmakers.

A statement put out by the White House Monday says officials will be trumpeting the infrastructure bill at events across the country as a means to “highlight how the President’s economic plan … is growing our economy from the bottom up and middle out,” whatever that means.

In particular, they seem enamored with relaying to the American people that Republicans caved in voting for the infrastructure spending and provided a “bipartisan” win for the President.

Isn’t this sweet? McConnell and Biden will kumbaya on Wednesday in Kentucky–expect to hear lots about “working together” and “moving past” political differences for the “good of the country.”https://t.co/N9eltxKuaj

Q. “Why is it important to go with Mitch McConnell to Kentucky?

Biden: “It’s his state.”

McConnell, as the infrastructure framework was being negotiated in June of 2021, was asked which former or current President he’d choose if stranded on a desert island. He chose Biden.

“Biden and I did four bipartisan deals during the Obama administration. I consider him a personal friend,” McConnell said adding, “I think Biden is a first-rate person.”

Friends bound together by their love of spending taxpayer money.

Aside from being a useful stooge for President Biden and no longer hiding it, Mitch McConnell will be praising an infrastructure spending bill that not one American in 10 million has even noticed.

The economy should be a winning message for Republicans, yet McConnell will be promoting Biden’s out-of-control spending as a positive for his state and, by extension, the country.

In a memo sent out just before Christmas, deputy press secretary Andrew Bates said the President will approach 2023 “with his hand outstretched to both parties in Congress.”

And in the blink of an eye, McConnell is offering his hand in return.

Former President Donald Trump, as he often does, has been criticizing McConnell, calling him an “obedient husband” to his “China-loving” wife, and lumping him in with other “RINOs” and “radical left Democrats.”

He also described Mitch as “a complete and total disaster for the Republican Party and our Nation,” a notion one would be hard-pressed to dispute.

Last week, Trump insinuated that the Democrats must have some compromising information on McConnell after he voted in favor of a massive $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill.

“The Marxist Democrats must have something really big on Mitch McConnell in order to get him and some of his friendly ‘Republican’ Senators to pass the horrendous ‘All Democrat, All the Way’ OMINOUS Bill,” he wrote.

1) Tucker here demands the release of Mitch McConnell’s tax returns, asking how he got so rich while in “public service.” Imagine CNN or NBC attacking a leading Dem this way.

2) Maddow and friends for years insisted Trump’s tax returns would show Russian payments. Moving on…🤷‍♂️ https://t.co/g1niIK285e

The reality here is there is no longer a Republican versus Democrat element to our Congress. They’re all on one side, together, against the American people.
